Overview
Give the birthday child a magical souvenir they'll never forget!
You tell the birthday child that you had a special handkerchief made directly in Japan, especially for them. It says "Happy Birthday" and their name in Japanese characters.
When you reveal the handkerchief, the Japanese writing creates a fun and unexpected gag that gets everyone laughing.
But the real magic is still to come.
The handkerchief is folded, rolled into a small ball, secured with a rubber band, and placed in the birthday child's hand. You then ask everyone if they know how to spell the birthday child's name.
"Great! Then let's write it... in the air!"
Everyone writes the name together in the air. After a few magical gestures, the child opens the handkerchief... The birthday message has magically transformed, and the birthday child's name is now written on the handkerchief!
The best part? The handkerchief can be given to the birthday child as a souvenir, making the magic a memorable keepsake from their special day.
